Yup this is a breakfast dish but I had it for my dinner last night and the leftover for b/f . Had it few times before with Nikki Bhaiya n Mansi (my BIL & Co-sis), so this one is for you guyzzz, miss you so much… thanks for being there for me in all my difficult times.. love yaaaaa…
I have added this MAGGI MASALA to various preparations and today I will review on how it tasted with POHA.
INGREDIENTS:
Poha(Thick Rice Flakes): 1 1/2 Cup Onion: 1 medium Chopped Tomato: 1 medium Chopped Peas: 1/4 Cup Potato: 1 medium Chopped Curry Leaves: few Roasted Peanuts: handful | Mustard Seeds: 1/2 tsp Salt: to taste Turmeric Powder: 1/4 tsp Red Chilly Powder: to taste Chaat Masala: 1/2 tsp MAGGI MASSALA MAGIC: 1 tsp |
METHOD:-
- Heat oil in a Pan add mustard seeds when it crackles add curry leaves fry for 30 sec.
- Add onions sauté for 1 min then add potatoes, salt (add little salt now then add more later) and turmeric, cook covered.
- When potatoes are almost done add rest of the veggies and spices and cook till all the veggies are done.
- Meanwhile wash and rinse poha.
- Add poha mix well, check seasoning adjust if required.
- Keep some peanuts aside for garnish and add rest of them.
- Serve hot.
Mini Review on MAGGI MASALA MAGIC:-
- It does gives that extra flavour to the dish.
- Taste does not over powers the other flavour.
- If you love the Maggi Masala noodles it’s a good news for you that flavor is quiet close to that.
- Can be tried and experimented with other preparations. ( do let me know your reviews)
- Comes in two packing 6gms for RS 3/- and the bigger one for Rs. 20/- so not at all heavy on pocket.
- The only CON that I can see it that it contains artificial flavouring agents which may not be healthy.
