Sprouts & Pineapple Salad

by Neetu

Hello everyone. How are you guyzz doing??? After my last sinful post of deep fried Vegit Veg. Cutlets, (you can find the review here) I wanted to make something healthy and light so came up with this salad. It has a nice combination of fruits and Sprouts with a light Vinaigrette/French Dressing. I have also given a light twist to the dressing by adding orange juice to it as I have added fruits to it so thought I would combine well, and yes I did.. Just don’t believe my words, go ahead and try the recipe yourself and let me know your feedback in the comments box below.

Bread Pudding with Rose Syrup

by Neetu

Hello friends, I made this dish only and only for my 1.3 years toddler. Uff it’s so difficult to feed them. She has a big time sweet tooth, so I thought of this dessert which has a whole lot of goodness in it milk, eggs, nuts, butter and bread (I used brown bread to make it even healthier). I had to grind it in mixer to feed her, but if your baby eats just like that it’s so good.
Yes, like I said I made it for my baby, but could feed her only once, it came out so yummy that me and my brother couldn’t resist to finish up the whole thing, sorry baby mumma will make more for you.

Replace Eggs in Baking

by Neetu

Hellosss everyone how are you guyzzz doing??? I had a super awesome week after long long time, how was yours.. well, hope to be the same… I finally settled down in my house after a long vacation at mum’s place, loads of cleaning and arranging had to be done but obviously all worth it…

I found this picture online so thought of sharing with you guyzz, I just love eggs so don’t have any problem with adding it in my baking, but if I had to make for my mum I have to cut down on eggs, but the question arises what should I substitute it with, if you have the same issues then I think this post will be quiet helpful.

Tahini Sauce

by Neetu

Hello everyone, how are you guyzz doing??? I am spending a fun and relaxed vacation in my mommy’s place and continuing with my Lebanese ventures in her kitchen I made this TAHINI SAUCE using the Tahini Paste which I made earlier (you can find the recipe here).

The sauce may taste a little bitter initially its because of the Tahini Paste, but as one develops a taste for it that bitterness will fade away. I tried to be authentic, even with the garnish so what do you think, have I done a good job???

Watermelon Twist

by Rimple

Hello friends how are you doing this summer?? Well, for me this is the most hectic part of the year as the kids are having their Summer Breaks!!!! So I feel there’s really nothing good about summers except for Mangoes and Watermelons and to beat this heat I tried this “Watermelon” Juice with a simple twist, and the twist was my juicer.

I have this manual citrus juicer in my kitchen to make orange and pomegranate juice, so one day I thought of making watermelon juice using this juicer and the experiment was quite a success, as the juice had a kind of thick texture and taste  which was different from the electric juicers. I recommend you to  buy this juicer for yourself as it’s very easy and convenient to use and its also it’s very easily available in the market. Given pic of the juicer below in the post do have a look.

Conversion Tables

by Khusboo

A big hello to everyone out there, I was a silent reader of hobbychef and when I saw more and more people are participating here to express their love for food in one or the other way, so I definitely would not want to be left behind in the celebrations. I want to make a collection of conversion tables/charts related to cooking/baking here, which will make your task much easier in the kitchen, to start with I am posting two tables and will add on in the same post whenever I find something interesting.

  • TEMPRATURE CONVERSION FOR OVEN:-

In many recipes we get temperature mentioned in Fahrenheit, but our ovens are set according to temperature in degree Celsius, so this conversion table will give you in quick conversion from Fahrenheit to Celsius and vice a versa.

Homemade Tahini Paste

by Neetu

I haven’t posted anything in the last few days, not that I am being lazy or something, it’s just my daughter is not keeping well theses days and you know when kids are not well, they wants to be with the mum all the time, so was stressed out a bit and of course the best stress buster for me is cooking.

I quite like Lebanese food but haven’t made it enough in my kitchen so now I thought of gaining some expertise in this cuisine and to start with I made this Tahini Paste which is the main ingredient in most of Lebanese dishes. One important thing I should mention here is this one is the recipe for TAHINI PASTE not TAHINI SAUCE.

Perfectly Boiled Noodles/Review Tops Noodles

by Aman

Hello everyone this is a recipe-cum-review post from me today. “Noodles” not just kids, but everyone love them, but we always wonder why it doesn’t taste the same when it’s cooked at home as it tastes in those Chinese restaurants,  well if you follow the recipe/instructions  given in the post today I don’t think you will think the same ever after.

The first and the important step is obviously boiling noodles and most of the times mistake happens at this step itself which ruins the whole dish. Here is a step-by-step instruction manual on how to perfectly boil noodles.

DSC02124 (1024x768)

I have used Tops Plain Noodles for this recipe and there is a mini review at the end of the post.
