Hello friends and sorry for not posting anything since last 2-3 days, got a little busy with other things in life. Taking about the post, I bought this Vegit Veg. Cutlet Pack from Food Bazar Sohna Road and thought of giving a try and posting the review, it came out to be an above average product and I have mentioned all the details in the post today. Hope it will help you in making the decision to buy it or not.

PACKAGING OF THE PRODUCT:-
It comes in a very nice attractive pack and when you open it you will get three packs, one is the cutlet mix, second the batter mix, third contains dry bread crumbs and a Mould to shape the cutlet.
COST OF THE PRODUCT:-
Rs. 60 for 240 gms of product it says you can make 8 cutlets, but I got 9, using the mould that they gave in the pack.
SHELF LIFE:-
It has a shelf life of 9 months.
INGREDIENTS:-
Potato Flakes, Sunflower oil, Dehydrated Carrot Bits, Common Salt, Dehydrated Green Peas, Dehydrated Capsicum, Dehydrated French Beans, Cumin Powder, Onion Powder, Garlic Powder, NutritionS
DEMO:-
- Empty the contents of the Veg Cutlet Mix pack. Add 150 ml warm water to the above and knead well.
- Leave the dough aside for 5 minutes. Make small cutlet balls and shape them using the moulds provided with the pack.
- Add 80 ml normal water to the batter mix and stir well. Dip the cutlet pieces in the liquid mix.
- Roll the dipped cutlet in bread crumbs provide with the pack. Now deep fry the cutlets in hot oil.
- Serve hot with tomato ketchup or any other sauce or dip.
MOMENT OF TRUTH:-
Yes, like I always say my favorite part.
PROS:-
- Like all other ready to cook products its quick, easy and convenient to use.
- Pack contains all the required ingredients within, you only need water and oil to fry.
- Carries a shelf life of 9 months, which is quite good for the quantity they give in a pack.
- Can be easily stored in your cupboards, no special treatment required.
- Easy on pocket, as you can get 8-9 piece in Rs. 60
- Texture of the cutlets comes out amazing nice firm and crisp from outside and soft inside.
- Tastes nice and quiet close to the what they serve in parties and restaurants.
- Easy to follow instruction manual.
- One can make different snacks using the same mixture only thing required is your creativity.
- Ingredients mentioned in the list are quite healthy that makes it a healthy snack and good for kids.
- Looks and tastes much better than the frozen or ready to fry products.
CONS:-
- Tastes good, but at first I thought something was missing and couldn’t exactly make out what it was, later I realized it was actually freshness that was missing. When the cutlets are cooked at home from scratch, they taste much more fresher.
- It still needs some cooking to be done whereas we have lots of frozen snacks available in the market which makes the things even easier.
CONCLUSION:-
I would like to give this product a 1.5 thumbs up, I liked the taste, but was not very much impressed with the freshness, if cooking is required I would rather make it from scratch at home and will buy the frozen ones if I have to save on time and energy. The good thing about this is when you have to impress your guests in a hurry, or you are a beginner in the kitchen, it’s a super hit thing as its easier to cook, and tastes and looks much better than the frozen stuff. I
Yes, I would like to try another product from Vegit.
