Makkai Masala Dosa

Was thinking so hard what to make for dinner, as I like to appetite as per my cravings :) so I was told Dosas !!!!!But it can’t be simple, so what should it be, lets find out :) 

Makai Masala Makai Dosa !!!

INGREDIENTS:-

1 Cup boiled Corn
1/2 Cup boiled Peas
1/2 Cup finely Chopped Onions
1 Cup of finely Chopped Tomatoes
1/4 Cup of finely Chopped Capsicum
1/2 Cup of grated Beet Root
1/2 Cup of grated Cheese (optional)
1 Tsp of Garam Masala
1.5 Tsp of Pav Bhaji Masala

1/2 Tsp of Red Chilly Powder
1/2 Tsp of Ginger Garlic Green Chilly Paste
Oil and Butter for cooking
Salt to taste
Dosa Batter : I took Ready made

Dip:-
2 Tbsp of Mayo
1 Tbsp of Schwezan Sauce

Makkai Dosa

SERVINGS:-

This quantity will make 8 medium size Dosas.

METHOD:-

For the Dip:-

  • Mix Mayonnaise and Schezwan in a bowl.

For The stuffing :

  • Grind the corns and peas coarsely.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add the ginger, garlic & green chilli paste.
  • Add chopped Onions and capsicum and cook well.
  • Once cooked, add tomatoes and the corn & peas paste.
  • Now add all the dry masalas(Powdered Spices).
  • Cook well until the tomatoes get soggy and all the masals are well cooked.

  • The stuffing is ready. 

How To Proceed:-

  • Pour a ladder full of batter on semi hot pan and spread it nicely.
  • Apply some butter and sprinkle Pav Bhaji Masal over it.
  • Spread well the mixture and sprinkle some beet-root on it.
  • Once the batter is well cooked and crisp roll it from both the sides in the center and once well folded turn it upside down.
  • Once cooked well, remove from the pan and cut into your desired shape.

  • Serve it Hot with the dip :)

CHEF’S TIP:-

  • You can add cheese on top if you feel like.
  • Ensure the Tawa is neither too hot  nor too cold or else the batter will not spread properly.
  • Every time before pouring the batter wipe, the tawa with slight wet cloth. This is too maintain the temperature well :)
