I developed a liking for salads long back, so I use to try out different salad recipes and various combinations on dressings. I recently bought this ready made thousand island dressing during a trip to supermarket, but I didn’t want to use this as it for my salad, so thought of combining it with sour cream and it worked really well. Checkout the video to make fresh “SOUR CREAM” at home. Uummmmm well, I am thinking to make Thousand Island Dressing also at home next time. INGREDIENTS:-
For Sour Cream: Hung Curd: 1/2 Cup Double/Heavy Cream: 1/2 Cup or less Salt: to taste Lime Juice: 1/2 tsp For Wholesome Salad: For Dressing: Thousand Island Dressing: 3 Tbsp Sour Cream: 2 Tbsp | Salt: to taste Black Pepper: to taste Mixed Herbs: 1 Tsp Tomato Ketchup: 1 1/2 Tbsp For Salad Boiled Pasta: 1 1/2 Cup Mixed Veggies: 1 Cup Blanched Cottage Cheese: 100 Gms Cubed Roasted Peanuts: a handful for topping |

This quantity will serve 3-4 People.

METHOD:-
For Sour Cream:
- Beat cream with wire whisk, till it becomes slightly thick (be careful that it doesn’t turn into butter).
- Beat hung curd, add this to cream and mix well.
- Add salt and lime juice, mix well.
- Sour Cream is ready to serve.
For Wholesome Salad:
- Mix together in a large mixing bowl, all the ingredients mention under the salad.
- Mix together all the ingredients of dressing in a separate bowl.
- Now add the dressing to veggies and pasta mix, and toss with light hands.
- Refrigerate for 1 hr.
- Transfer it to a serving plate, top up with some roasted peanuts.
- Serve cold with Nachos, Garlic bread or just like that.
