Hellooss everyone I am super excited that we have completed 100 posts on hobbychef Yiippippeee!! Thanks a lot guyz for encouragement and support : ) and talking about todays post, I wanted to share a sizzler recipe since long, but didn’t get time to shoot a video. Sizzler is not just a recipe, but a method of setting things up and I wanted to demonstrate the steps through video, so finally I am happy to do it and hoping that you guyzz will enjoy the video. : )
INGREDIENTS:-
Oil: 2 Tbsp Crushed Garlic: 4-5 Big Cloves Button Mushrooms: 200gms French Beans: a handful Baby Corn: 4-5 pc. Zucchini: 1/2 Medium Red Pepper: 1/2 Big Green Capsicum: 1/2 Big Cottage Cheese/Paneer: 200gms Salt & Pepper: To Taste | Soya Sauce: 1/2 Tsp Green Chilly Sauce: 1/2 Tsp Vinegar: 1 1/2 Tsp Szechwan Chutney: 1/2 Tbsp Water: 2 Tbsp Cornflour: 1 Tbsp Cabbage Leaves: To Spread Butter: for the Sizzle Toasted Sesame seeds: for Garnish |
*I have kept the spices mild, one can increase/decrease the quantity of sauce as per their liking.
SERVINGS:-
this quantity will serve 4 ppl.
METHOD:-
- Keep the sizzler tray (iron part) on gas to heat up and mean while prepare the stir fry.
- Cut all the veggies and paneer in cubes.
- Marinade paneer with little salt & pepper for 10-15 mins.
- Blanch all other veggies except Peppers.
- Heat oil in a wok, add garlic, fry for 30 secs.
- Add all the veggies and paneer, cook on high flame fo 2 mins.
- Mix all the sauces & vinegar in a bowl with 1/4 cup of water and salt, add this to veggies.
- Dissolve corn flour in water, make a paste and add to the veggies.
- Toss and cook for another 30 secs.
- Remove the sizzler tray from gas and arrange on the wooden palter.
- Arrange cabbage leaves over it and throw in some butter here and there under cabbage for the sizzle.
- Pour stir fried veggies over it.
- Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds for garnish and serve immediately.
