Hello guyzzz, Dhokla is his super favorite and I have tried it a few times before (with other recipes) but never came out the way he likes, and now when I made it to perfect he is not here to eat this one saddddd.. : ( I know, but nevertheless will make it for you once you are back :-*
INGREDIENTS:-
For Dhokla: Besan/Gram Flour: 1 Cup Yogurt (Thick Curd): 1/2 Cup Water: 1/4-1/2 Cup Oil: 1 Tbsp Sugar: 1 Tsp Citric Acid (Neembu ka Sat): a pinch Turmeric Powder: 1/4 Tsp Salt: 1/2 Tsp Fruit Salt (Eno): 1 Tsp | For Tempering: Water: 1-1/2 Cup Oil: 2 Tbsp Mustard Seeds (rai): 1 Tsp Green Chilles: 3 Slit into half Curry Leaves: 8-10 Sugar: 2 Tsp |
SERVINGS:-
This quantity will give 12 medium size Dhokla.

METHOD:-
For Dhokla:
- Mix all the ingredients mentioned under dhokla (except ENO) in a mixing bowl.
- Grease a square or rectangular microwave safe bowl.
- Add eno to the batter, mix well and pour immediately in the greased bowl.
- Now cook this in microwave for 4-5 mins on high power.
- Take it out of the oven and let it cool down for 5-10 mins.
For Tempering:
- Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and let it splutter.
- Now add green chillies, curry leaves and cook for 30 secs.
- Add water and sugar to this and cook till sugar is dissolved.
To Assemble:
- Make cuts in the ready Dhokla in square shape.
- Pour the tempering over the Dhokla and let it absorb all the water.
- Keep in fridge for 15-20 mins.
- Take out the pieces and serve with your choice of dipping.
