Aalu (Potato) Pasanda (Video Recipe)

Hello guyzz, here comes one more rich  & creamy Indian main course Aalu Pasanda!!!  Slices of potatoes sandwiched with paneer (cottage cheese) and dry fruits and served with silky smooth Malai Gravy. Corn & Peas Cheese Balls (Video Recipe)

Hellooss everyone, How are you guyzz doing. I am feeling very relaxed toady, last few days has been a bit hectic, (not work wise, but fun wise). My Bil & Co-Sis came over to stay with me for a day and it was super fun, we went of the movie Kick, and yes I enjoyed the movie quiet a lot. Nothing too special about the movie, a normal Salman Khan entertainment types, but not boring at all. I am still wondering what was Jacqueline Fernandez for, in the Movie??? Reply in the comments box if you have any idea : )

Taking about the post today, I have made Yummy Cheesy Corn & Peas Cheese Balls. It requires very less ingredients, and I just loved them with my today’s evening Tea. Yes am a Tea Addict. : ) and my hubby is the best company ever for my cup of Tea!!!

Yummiez Aloo Tikki “Recipe Idea & Review”

When ever it rains my craving for deep fried snacks along with tea erupts, though it didn’t rain yesterday, but whether was quiet pleasant and I had these Yimmiez Allo Tikki in my freezer, so I made this yummy Sandwich using the ingredients which were present in my fridge itself, nothing too fancy, but definitely super tasty and sinfully delight.

Vegit Veg. Cutlet “Product Review”

Hello friends and sorry for not posting anything since last 2-3 days, got a little busy with other things in life. Well, just to share with you guys, I stayed alone at home for last 20 days (of course with my daughter) and I realized, I actually loved it, it was kinda going back to my hostel days and living life they way I want to not anyone else, Just loved it!!!

Taking about the post, I bought this Vegit Veg. Cutlet Pack from Food Bazar Sohna Road and thought of giving a try and posting the review, it came out to be an above average product and I have mentioned all the details in the post today. Hope it will help you in making the decision to buy it or not.

Crispy Corn

Finally she took her steps on her own, yes am talking about my daughter, she walked without any support yesterday and I was on top of the world!!!! Obviously that called for a celebration, most of the time we go to Pirates of Grill for an outing and I love their CRISPY CORN, but as I am here in my home town these days I thought of trying it myself and it came out quite well. It’s a quick snack/starter and can be made very easily.

I have given a yummy serving suggestion at the end of the post do have a look.

Cauliflower(Gobhi) Manchurian in Knorr Chinese Schezuan Sauce

First of all a big thanks to you Richa for treating us with this yummy dish and also for telling the recipe, it came out really well.

Cornitos Nacho Crisps

Ever since I have tasted these nachos at PVR Cinemas am a super duper fan of it. I have tried so many brands, flavors available in market and have also made them at home see this for the homemade nachos recipe.

Today I will be reviewing two flavors of Cornitos naming Cheese and Herbs and Sizzling Jalapenos. Served them with Mexican Corn and Bean Salad, will post the recipe in my next post.

LAY’S Thai Sweet Chilly Flavor

Cheese Stuffed Broccoli Kofta/Balls

I have made koftas with many other veggies but not with broccoli so it was quiet exciting for me to try this one….. and it came out really gud… yes it’s a rich dish so make it for your special occasions…

This quantity will serve 2-3 ppl…

INGREDIENTS:-

For Koftas:-
Broccoli: 1 Small
Potato: 1 Medium Boiled
Black Pepper Powder: to taste
Salt: to taste
Garam Masala: 1/4 tsp
Aamchur Powder: 1/4 tsp
Cheese Slice/cube: 1
Cornflour: 1 Tbsp
Baking Powder: 1 Big Pinch
oil : to fry
For Gravy-
Onion: 2 Medium
Ginger: 1/2 Inch
Oil: 2-3 Tbsp
Cumin Seeds: 1/2 Tsp
Asafetida: a pinch
Cashews: 10-12
Curd: 3 Tbsp
Kasoori Methi: 1 Tbsp
Garam Masala: 1/2 Tsp
Amchur Powder: 1/4 Tsp
Salt: to taste
Red Chilly Powder: to taste
Milk: 1/2 Cup
Water: 1 Cup

 

METHOD:-

For Koftas:

  • Grate broccoli  finely along with the tender stems.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add broccoli and cook for 2-3 mins.
  • Mash boiled potatoes and broccoli together.
  • Add rest of the ingredients under koftas and mix well, check seasoning and adjust if required.
  • Make balls/koftas with this mixture, stuffing cheese in between.
  • Heat oil in a wok and deep fry the koftas

For Gravy:-.

  • Grind onion & ginger to make  a fine paste and keep aside.
  • Grind cashews  and curd to make a fine paste and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan add cumin seeds when it crackles add asafetida and onion paste.
  • Cook this till oil separates then remove from fire and add cashews paste.
  • Cook this till nicely thick.
  • Add spices, kasoori methi and cook for 2 mins more.
  • Remove from fire again and add milk & water.
  • Bring back to fire and cook till the gravy has nice & smooth consistency.

For Serving:-

  • At the time of serving arrange koftas in serving bowl pour hot gravy over it and serve hot with Indian bread of your choice…

Homemade Nachos

 
GAAAWWWDDDDD I hate these winters yaar…. puta nahi kub khatam hogi…. don’t feel like doing nethin at all…  well I crib this all the tymm… in evry winter season hoping that it will end after 13th Jan (after Lohri)….despite of that I made nachos… I have made these earlier as well but added Keya’s all purpose seasoning this time to give it some more flavors… it came out good but that’s definitely optional it tastes good w/o that as well…. I served it with store bought Salsa as of now but will its easy to make at home as well..

INGREDIENTS:-
Maze Flour(Makke Ka Atta): 3/4 Cup
Plain Flour(Maida): 1/2 Cup
Carom Seeds(Ajwain): 1/4 tsp
Salt: to taste
Oil: 1/2 Tbsp + to fry
All Purpose Seasoning: 1 Tbsp
Warm water: to knead
METHOD:-
  • Mix all the ingredients (except water) well using both the hands it will make a crumbly texture.

  • Knead a hard dough using the warm water.

  • Make a small ball lemon sized and roll into thin chapati using dry flour, (if edges crack don’t worry you can trim later) cut into small triangles as in picture below.
  • Prick it with a knife or fork so that it doesn’t puff up while frying.

  • Deep fry on medium flame.

  • Drain excess oil by keeping nachos on a kitchen towel.

  • Serve it with tomato salsa or cheesy dip or both…
  • It can be stored in airtight containers…

Deep Fried Indulgence: Cheese Bread Rolls

 
Women indulge in Chocolates but  for me its Cheeseeeeeeeee… Yes I love cheese  but ever tried bread rolls with Cheese so thanks to Radhika’s blog hop I was paired with  Anamika this week and she had this awesome recipe in her blog which gave bread rolls a whole new taste by adding cheese to it… I have made this recipe as per Anamika’s direction but gave a li’l variation just  by roasting the stuffing, hope you’ll enjoy this…

Bread Slices: 10
Boiled Potatoes: 2 Medium
Boiled Peas: 1/4 Cup
Capsicum: 1 Small
Carrot: 1 Small
Cauliflower: 1/2 Small
Onion: 1 Small
Cheese Cube: 2 Grated
Salt: to taste
Red Chilly Pwdr: to taste
Dry Mango Pwdr: 1/2 Tsp
Cumin Seeds: 1/2 tsp
Oil: 1 Tbsp
Water: to wet the bread slices
oil: to deep fry
METHOD:-
  • Grate Carrot & Cauliflower and finely chop capsicum & Onion.
  • Mash Boiled peas & potatoes.

  • Heat oil in a pan add cumin seeds and when it crackles add the  grated veggies and roast till the water is evaporated.
  • Then add the spices and mashed potato mixture, mix well and check seasoning, adjust if required.
  • Pan roast it for 4-5 mins stirring in between then take off from the gas and let it cool for some time.
  • Take the bread slices and soak it in water for a second and then keep the slice flat on your palm and with other hand squeeze the water.
  • Tear the corners of the bread and waste them.
  • Put the stuffing over the bread slice and the put grated cheese the again put some stuffing and roll the bread into oval shape.

  • Meanwhile heat oil in a wok.
  • Deep fry the rolls and serve hot witch tomato ketchup or mustard sauce.
