Perfectly Boiled Noodles/Review Tops Noodles

Hello everyone this is a recipe-cum-review post from me today. “Noodles” not just kids, but everyone love them, but we always wonder why it doesn’t taste the same when it’s cooked at home as it tastes in those Chinese restaurants,  well if you follow the recipe/instructions  given in the post today I don’t think you will think the same ever after.

The first and the important step is obviously boiling noodles and most of the times mistake happens at this step itself which ruins the whole dish. Here is a step-by-step instruction manual on how to perfectly boil noodles.

I have used Tops Plain Noodles for this recipe and there is a mini review at the end of the post.

INGREDIENTS:-

Noodles: 200 Gms Water: 6 cups to boil

Salt: to taste Oil: 3 Tbsp

METHOD:-

• Break the noodles in half, it becomes easier to handle them.
• Boil water to bubbling point and add salt.
• Taste salt and it should be as salty as you want the final dish to be.

• Add noodles to the boiling water and cook on high flame for exactly 3 mins.
• To check if the noodles are done, take one noodle and break it into two, you should see a small white dot in the center that means it’s done.(see the pic below)
• Noodles should never be over-cooked it should be al-Dante.

• After switching off the flame, immediately drain the noodles.
• Rinse them in nice cold water to stop the process of cooking.

 

• Use a fork to separate them and apply oil nicely coating all over to prevent from sticking together.
• Can be kept refrigerator for 3-4 days for later use.

MINI REVIEW:

• The shape of a noodle strand  is square not round, which looks better after cooking.
• The size of the noodle strand is thinner than the other variants available in the market, which is used in professional kitchens.
• It has long shelf life of 12 months.
• Easy availability.
• Rs 38 for 400 gms which makes it easy on pocket and fairly priced than other products available in market.

CONCLUSION:

I found this product much better than the other variants available in the market, on all the features like price, taste, texture and everything. So I will definitely recommend it with two thumbs up.
